Store NewsA string of jaunty vintage aprons beckons shoppers to enter RICK RACK, the latest venture in the still-red building that once held part of Anita Beck's Reindeer House printing and crafts empire.
The southwest Minneapolis furnishings, accessories and gifts boutique pays homage to the charm of vintage and adds a modern twist: new wicker pieces by Palacek mingle with old linoleum-topped stools and refurbished armoires nestle alongside lamps with a sleek modern vibe.
Owner Ann McCabe and partner Cheri Toftey also feature works by several Minnesota artisans. Among them: glass paperweights by Linda Thiltgen, stained glass by Pam McConville, stationery by Three Fish, handmade greeting cards by Kathy Jasper, and jewelry by Jennifer Bouxhie, Deborah Bushinski, and Sharon McKendry. The store also offers design services by ASID member Kathy Vaughan.
